Join our international panel of experts to learn more about chronic tinnitus disability with a psychological perspective.

On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, a webinar was organised by Sonova Audiological Care. The focus of the event was on tinnitus.
The prevalence of tinnitus is astounding. While it affects 10-15% of the population, it remains generally misunderstood and difficult to manage.¹ Our international panel of experts will add clarity to this medical phenomenon starting with research underpinnings, unfold to explain treatment modalities and end with practical clinical guidance from an ENT currently working with a sizeable tinnitus case load.
Dr. Stefan Launer, Senior Vice President of Audiology and Health Innovation at Sonova, hosted the following renowned experts:
Dr. David Baguley, Professor in Hearing Sciences, University of Nottingham
Dr. Rilana Cima, Visiting Professor, KU Leuven University, Adelante Center of Expertise, Maastricht University
Dr. Albert Mudry, Adjunct Professor, Stanford University
The program began with an overview of the recent insights into tinnitus, then looked at chronic tinnitus disability from a psychological perspective and concluded with a presentation on the first clinical screening of a tinnitus patient. The main presentations were followed by a panel discussion, in which participants asked questions to the experts.
